About Our Workshops:
As both a seasoned photographer and homeschool mom, education is incredibly important to me. I started holding youth workshops back in 2012 while living in Las Vegas and currently have only been teaching through our homeschool co-op! Until now. I am super excited to offer two different youth workshops this summer!
Our first is for Beginners ages 8+ and will cover topics such as composition, telling a story through photos, a brief history of photography/cameras, and most importantly- lighting.
The other is more Intermediate level for ages 10+ and will cover more in depth education on camera settings, manual photography, an introduction to photo editing and documentary photography.
Both workshops will be held at Brick + Pine Studio that is located in Carson City and while seats are limited, we do have the ability to meet in a comfortable and safe space so our kids can learn and grow in this creative field. Learn more about Lauren HERE!
Upcoming 2024 Summer Workshops:
June 17, 18, 24 + 25 - BEGINNER
This will be a 4 day / 2 hour per day / 8 hour total BEGINNER workshop that will span a two week time period with some homework in between to keep the kids engaged and thinking about the concepts learned in class. Topics will be approached in an educational and fun way and will include creativity through both photography and art! Kids will not need an advanced camera for this workshop.. any point and shoot or even a phone/iPod camera will do!

July 8, 9, 15 + 16 - INTERMEDIATE
This will be a 4 day / 2 hour per day / 8 hour total INTERMEDIATE workshop that will span a two week time period with some homework in between to keep the youth engaged and thinking about the concepts learned in class. Topics will be approached in an educational and fun way and constructive feedback and individualized attention will be given! Youth will need a camera that offers manual settings if possible.
